Towards the effort of promoting Messengers of Peace, I have worked to help facilitate this event.
Please see attached flyer for the “Summit of Greater Washington Imams, Rabbis and Community Leaders” which will be held on December 3rd (1-5pm) at the Islamic Center of Northern Virginia, 4420 Shirley Gate Rd. Fairfax, VA. 22030. The theme of the 2017 Summit is, “SAFEGUARDING OUR COMMUNITIES: Building Unity, Confronting Hate, Enhancing Partnerships “.
We very much hope you will attend this important event and will also contact community leaders and activists of your acquaintance—both clergy and non-clergy, urging them to attend as well.
With the recent increase in hate crimes against the Muslim and Jewish Communities, it is a moral imperative that Muslims and Jews come together to support one another and build ties of communication and cooperation. The Summit is a golden opportunity to accomplish this aim, especially if we can bring out the maximum number of Muslim and Jewish leaders and activists across the DMV.
